I happened across this article when surfing the net this morning before heading out to my exercise class.

Jesse Ventura Doesn't Plan to Vote

So, someone who considered himself so invested in politics and government that he not only ran for office, but was the Governor of Minnesota is not going to bother to vote in this upcoming Presidential election. I wonder how Ventura would have reacted if someone said that they were not going to vote when he was running for office.

Why is Ventura not voting? Because he doesn't like Bush or Kerry. Ventura doesn't like Kerry because Ventura is rich and therefore Kerry will raise his taxes. Ventura doesn't like Bush because of his domestic policies...in particular gay marriage and stem cell research.

Well...good job Ventura. You just proclaimed to the whole world that you don't give a damn about the political system. And how is not voting going to help anything??? It's not.

And...you also just told the world that when it comes down to it...the common good and welfare of the fellow man...when compared to losing any more in your checkbook...doesn't really matter. Ventura seems to be saying that he supports Kerry's policies..especially domestic...but, since Kerry is going to raise his taxes in order to get these things done, he is not willing to vote for him.

You know what Jessie "The Body" Ventura...Kerry will be raising his taxes too. Kerry is a wealthy, wealthy man...and he has said over and over again that if there is a burden to bear, those who can take the burden and still survive are the ones that should.
